Leading with Integrity places the onus for changing the social conditions that contribute to poor decision choices which increase the probability of the school to prison pipeline on "out of touch" leaders with respect to statistical data. This failure to correctly diagnose the problem has lead to focusing on the flaws of the individual rather than the flaws of the system or the systemic conditions that adversely impact all individuals both police and citizens alike. When we ignore the impact that a toxic environment has on thoughts, feelings, and the nervous system of an individual, we prescribe a band aid rather than major surgery and the problems, as well as, the collateral damage continues. Leading with Integrity aims to synthesize relevant information pertaining to the environment and the individual in order to build improved realities that individuals can prosper in.
While a leaders' moral compass is important, the alignment, compatibility, chemistry, and integrity of the organization's structure, functions, and processes are of greater important. Managing the chemistry and the relationships of these variables will determine the success or failure of any organization.
